Vancouver rapper Immerze has returned with a visual for “Wasabi,” an appropriately named drop considering the track is equal parts fire and smooth—not unlike the Japanese culinary staple.

“Wasabi” sees Immerze flexing a melodic flow on top of a sinister bassline and crisp 808s, bringing acrobatic, rapid-fire bars to life: “Who you know was sippin' saki on a Kawasaki?/Getting sloppy toppy, got me rappin, oh he hella cocky/Man they couldn't copy even on a fuckin’ walkie talkie, woo!”  Pure fuego. The instrumental was produced by longtime collaborator Mike F The Hitman, and appeared on Room 221, an EP entirely co-produced by MFTH and Chef Byer.

“We shot the video in the middle of the night in Chinatown in Vancouver,” Immerze told Complex via email. “We actually shot it shortly after I came out of the hospital.” Immerze is tight-lipped on what exactly had him requiring medical attention, but you’ve got to respect an artist who gets out the hospital and goes back to work immediately. That’s “Through The Wire” levels of grinding.
