Last year's self-titled EP from Rachel Foxx served as a stellar introduction to the London lady's unique brand of emotive soul, and throwback vocal. After a brief hiatus, she's ready to return—and does so with "Pink & Green", a solid slice of nostalgic '90s soul. There's a deeper strain of authority within the lyricism here, as the Evil Needle-produced piano-ballad centers on the frustration of relationship incompatibility. Functioning as an emotional release, Rachel stated: "I've always hated discussing my feelings. I hate being open and talking about love; it's too awkward for me. I just put everything in my writing, that way, I don't have to engage or answer any questions." The song will appear on her forthcoming GOLD EP (out later this year).
