Murlo's impending Odyssey EP has had a lot of people talking over the past few months. For one, it's Murlo's biggest release to date (literally, it's an eight-track EP) but another reason people are getting excited over this is that phenomenal artwork, which comes direct from Murlo himself. We've all heard the three leading cuts, "Moodswung," "Furnace," and "Cascade," which usually leaves an EP a little low on new material. Those three tracks hinted at some progression in terms of his sound. Where past releases were ultra-smooth and icy, there's a caustic element at play in these new productions, something we're told was inspired by the industrial estate he grew up near. It's still a sumptuous listen and, though challenging in an artistic sense, you don't need to try very hard to enjoy this body of work.

Odyssey comes out today on Mixpak. However, vinyl won't be shipped until January, but when it does it will come with a pull-out poster and sticker pack. You can pre-order it now.
