Premiere: Bastard Sugar Delivers Some Topsy Turvy Electronics On "Fishing Bait"

A robust follow-up to last year's 'Aftersound' EP.

Dutch producer Bastard Sugar may not have the most family-friendly alias, but, as new cut "Fishing Bait" (from his Outside EP, due out Dec. 18) proves, his music is far from divisive and utterly inviting. All bubbly beats and glossy electronics, Mr. Sugar's productions are dripping with colour and vibrancy. Interestingly, the producer's real first name is Wander which fits rather well with meandering melodies and rich organic textures that will soon become synonymous with the producer. Elsewhere on the EP, Bastard Sugar brings in elements of juke, dubstep, garage and synth-pop into his rich melting pot of sonics. This EP will be the producer's second full release and, with just nine tracks to his name (once Outside is released), we can't help but hope for a full album.
