In a new sit down interview with Access Hollywood, Justin Bieber talks about his many mistakes, his new album Purpose and how his famous ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez remains an influence in his life. Justin admits that Selena was his "first real love" and that he's still dealing with the aftermath of their breakup. "It was really tough. I don't know if I'm still over it yet," he continued. "I think that I'm definitely in another place and I think we've definitely went our separate ways. I love her and I want her to be awesome, but there are things that remind me of her."

Justin went on to explain they still have a very mutual respect for each other. "I'm never going to stop loving her, I'm never going to stop checking on her. I don't think if you end a relationship, you should end that unless it was super toxic and you guys were hurting each other physically or mentally. We always respected each other and we still respect each other." Both exes are clearly doing great with Selena scoring her second No. 1 album with Revival and Justin's new songs "What Do You Mean" and "Sorry" debuting at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
