Parodies of “Hotline Bling” are like assholes. Everybody has one, and most of them stink.

With the end goal of getting Drake’s attention, a group of volunteers attending the University of British Columbia set up a cube video booth where students could drop in and record their own version of “Hotline Bling,” complete with colourful lights projected on white screens. This week, over 2000 students entered the booth and filmed over 450 videos. So, what now? The group intends to bombard Drake’s mentions with one video every minute via Twitter.

“It would just be cool to show Drake that UBC is a big fan,” Aaron Bailey, President of the Alma Mater Society, told Van City Buzz. “Beyond that, we want him to come to our campus. He came to Ryerson’s Frosh event earlier this year, which was awesome. But we’d love to have him join us on campus or perform here. We just want to tell him that UBC people are obsessed with his music.”
