At the end of every month, we round up the songs and music videos by Canadians that made us feel some type of way. Throw some headphones on, kick back, and catch up on the gems you might have missed this month.
Kaytranada, “195”
Born out of XL Recordings’ 20th anniversary compilation, Kaytranada’s “195” is a welcome re-up from Montreal’s boss of bass. It’s not clear whether or not this stuttering sample and hypnotic house beat will make it onto his forthcoming debut full-length 99.9%, but regardless, it’s a sure sign of good things to come in 2016.
Husser, “Name Another N!99@”
Grimes, “Kill V. Maim”
Simply put, this is one of the best songs of the year. Just press play.
