LA-based producer-songwriters Dante and Drew have joined forces to create their new project THEY. The duo is the newest signing to independent label Mind Of A Genius Records (Gallant, ZHU). THEY. deliver their debut EP Nü Religion, which premiered two nights ago on Ebro Darden's Beats1 show affirmed that they are "the crew you need to invest time in."
Nu Religion's inaugural three tracks take cues from influences Taking Back Sunday, Babyface, Kurt Cobain and New Edition to create an ear-burning blend of R&B and rock that singes the senses. As Dante told the FADER, the EP is "the soundtrack to not giving a fuck." Drew continued, "Nü Religion is a new way of thinking. As individuals the way we have approached life and the art of music has always been left of center; even from youth. It's been all about finding a way to incorporate that into a cohesive musical project that we are proud of and that people enjoy. We think we've done that."
