Justin Timberlake was inducted to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame on Saturday, and he couldn’t have been more deserving.

Timberlake’s career and personal life has been well-documented, so we won’t run down his resume of multiple Emmy and Grammy awards and memorable SNL appearances again. What’s important here is that JT is being honored in his hometown, which is always cool.

At the event, Timberlake did vocal impersonations of soul singers Al Green and Otis Redding, performed with Sam Moore of Sam & Dave on stage, and joked around with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, who was also in attendance to show support.

Billboard reported that other inducted were Sam & Dave, Elvis Presley guitarist Scotty Moore, Booker T. & the MG's drummer Al Jackson Jr., singer Alberta Hunter, blues pianist Memphis Slim and country singer Charlie Rich.
