Premiere: Enjoy The Rich Textures Of MOAN's "Stop Lying"

Warm, melodious and entirely devoid of cynicism.

Moscow-born producer Olga Lyalina, aka MOAN is about to release the Holy Heartbeats EP, an ultra-stylish and well-informed collection of house tunes, inspired in no small part by UK garage and bass music. To tease the release she's just shared "Stop Lying" with us. Inspired as much by designers like Alexander Wang and Maison Margiela as she is by the music that went before, "Stop Lying" sounds like the kind of music you dream of making when you're several drinks deep in the club, enamored by the pulsing four-by-four beats that surround you. It's warm, melodious and entirely devoid of cynicism. It's clear that Lyalina is just as interested in creating lasting art, with her thoroughly on-point lyricism and vocal work, as she is with keeping the dancefloor packed. As with the best art, there's a lot to digest here, from the rich visual aesthetic right through to the crunchy, club-ready beats.
