We Have This Fan to Thank For Kanye West Running For President

There were few moments as epic at this year's VMAs as Kanye West ending his 13-minute Michael Jackson Video Vanguard acceptance speech with his presidential bid for the race in 2020. Besides an outpour of memes and merch, the bid has even received a statement from The White House with press secretary Josh Earnest saying they are "looking forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat."

While many went on to debate what inspired the rapper to make such a declaration or how valid it was, a new video might reveal all the answers. In this new Instagram recorded by an attendee in the audience pit during the speech, someone can be heard someone shouting "Kanye for President!" After that, Kanye gestures over to the general area before saying "And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for President."

After much debate, it seems that Kanye was mostly just listening to the kids, bro. Hopefully MTV will listen to the kids and secure Kanye as their host for next year's show. Watch the clip below.
