In the wake of breakup rumors surrounding One Direction, it's now being reported that music giant Sony is courting member Harry Styles for a "mega solo deal." The company's top executives (which already has the singer on their books through Simon Cowell's Syco Label) are determined to make Harry's solo material a top priority for 2016. In addition, industry heavyweight Irving Azoff has reportedly been giving advice to the singer for well over a year as he is close friend's with his son Jeff Azoff.
While the members have not addressed any of the solo project rumors, the band has confirmed that a new album is in the works which Niall took to Twitter to confirm.
Don't worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve ! Can't wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform— Niall Horan (@NiallOfficial) August 24, 2015
