It's been a chaotic few months for former One Direction star Zayn Malik. After quitting the band, the singer released a song with British producer Naughty Boy of "La La La" fame to widespread internet approval before it was swiftly deleted. The producer then had Zayn's back in a Twitter war with former direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson.

Today the story takes an unexpected turn as Zayn took to Twitter to call out the producer for being a "fat joke."

@NaughtyBoyMusic you fat joke stop pretending we're friends no one knows you .

Many are speculating the remark is in response to Zayn's music video with Krept & Konan leaking online a few months ago.

Someone learned how to upload a video... maybe now he should learn how to use logic ha you ain't shit but a faker

While Naughty Boy told Capital FM in June that Zayn was making a “soulful record,” the producer has yet to respond to Zayn’s tweets. So much for a bright future together.

@zaynmalik the futures bright.
