On the heels of a surprise collaborative album released just last month with Cloud Nothings, indie rock band Wavves are readying to drop their fifth studio album V. With the album reported to be a full band-effort with members Stephen Pope and Alex Gates sharing writing duties with frontman Nathan Williams, the band offers a glimpse into the new record with the first single "Way Too Much" that seamlessly hits like a skuzzed, out lo-fi rock jam that's endlessly easy to sink your ears into.

While there was some drama with the label upon the song's release with Williams releasing the song early and Warner Bros. demanding it being taken down (which you can scope on the band's Twitter timeline), the song is now available on SoundCloud, iTunes and Spotify for your listening pleasure.

Listen to "Way Too Much" below off the band's forthcoming album V out October 2 on Ghost Ramp / Warner Bros. Records (pre-order now on iTunes). You can also catch Wavves on tour starting this September (dates below).
