Chicago's very own — Chance the Rapper and Kanye West — continue to tease the possibility of what is hopefully an imminent collaboration. Sharing the bill on Friday's RBC Ottawa Bluesfest, that possibility seems to have finally moved firmly into the territory of confirmed. In front of at least 25,000 devotees, West gave a glowing endorsement of the recent champion of Surf — calling Chance the Rapper "one of the most talented young new artists." Perhaps hinting at what's (most certainly) to come, West also asked the world to "stay tuned" for more from both artists:

Of course, the long road to an eventual team-up between Chance and West goes back at least as far as Chance's Acid Rap, featuring a Kanye West sample on "Good Ass Intro" and a fair share of Kanye-nodding lyrical and production choices throughout the critically acclaimed mixtape's 13 tracks.

For sheer speculative enjoyment, imagine — if you will — a world in which a Kanye West / Chance the Rapper collaborative album storms the gates of pop radio with the same force as West's 2011 Jay Z collaboration Watch the Throne.
