Last Sunday, supporters of Bobbi Kristina Brown were saddened to hear that she unexpectedly passed away at the age of 22. Six months after she was found face-down in a bathtub in her Atlanta home, Bobbi Kristina has gone through various stages of hospitalization before she was placed in hospice care.

Bobby Brown, who finally broke his silence on her daughter’s death, said in a statement obtained by AP, "Krissy was and is an angel," he said. "I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable."

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office released a statement saying an autopsy will be needed to evaluate Bobbi Kristina’s exact cause of death. The Rosewell Police Department will conduct a investigation once the autopsy is over, but the medical examiner said it will take “several weeks” to complete since additional lab testing might be needed.

"The Roswell Police Department continues its investigation into the circumstances preceding and surrounding the time of the original incident leading to her death," the medical examiner said.

Michelle Gordon, the mother of Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon, said in a joint statement that Bobbi Kristina’s death has devastated her and her son.

"Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart," she said. "Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time."
