Justin Bieber Pleads Guilty To Assault and Careless Driving

Justin Bieber pleads guilty to charges stemming from a confrontation with paparrazi back in August of last year.

Justin Bieber pleaded guilty today to assault and careless driving charges that stemmed from an incident that took place back in August of last year in Ontario.

The charges were filed after Bieber got into it with a paparazzo following a minor accident between an ATV and a minivan while the singer was vacationing with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez. Shortly after the incident Bieber hinted that the accident was similar to the one that caused the death of Princess Diana

The singer appeared in court via a video link, according to CTV News, and reportedly declined to comment when given the opportunity by the judge. While he'll be carrying that careless driving charge around with him he'll only have to pay a $750 fine after the assault charge was discharged entirely following the plea.

"He came over to the side of the vehicle where one of the photographers was holding a large camera," the singer's lawyer said of the reason for the assault charge. "There was some physical contact...it was described that Mr. Bieber was swinging at him, grabbing at the camera, that could have been three times at the most."
