Suge Knight is probably a little more concerned about the actual ongoing murder trial, but it looks like that hit-and-run accident that took the life of Terry Carter back in January has also spurred a lawsuit from the victim's family.

According to TMZ, Suge is named as a defendant in a "wrongful death" lawsuit filed by Carter's wife and children claiming that his death was caused by gang members who sparked the fight leading up to Suge's fleeing the scene. Unexpectedly though, both Dr. Dre and Ice Cube are also reportedly named in the suit as co-defendants due to their alleged involvement in hiring "known gang members" as security for the gang-affiliated neighborhoods where parts of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton were filmed. Apparently the suit's logic holds that Dre and Cube are at partial fault given that Knight would never have needed to rush out of the parking lot if not for being threatened by one of the gang-members.

While TMZ doesn't specify if it's part of another lawsuit, the site also reports that the Carters are filing suit against Tam's Burgers for not having adequate security in a parking lot known to have hosted violent crimes previously.

Putting aside the Tam's Burgers side of the things, aiming for Dre and Cube seems to make for a serious long shot of a lawsuit. Besides, unlike Knight, the former N.W.A. rappers will probably get the best lawyers around and stick with them the first time.
