Digital Dreams is a spectacle. Since 2012, tens of thousands of people have flocked to the largest electronic music festival in Canada to see the world’s best DJs throw down high energy sets on the shoreline of Toronto. Massive stages look more like astral projections. Monolithic lighting rigs make performers look like starship pilots. Towering sound systems kick out bass frequencies so dense you can practically feel them in the air. It’s a trip.

This year, legendary names like Pete Tong and Carl Cox will headline the main stage, along with EDM powerhouses Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, and Steve Angello. If you’re hitting up the festival this year, make some time in your schedule for future legends, too. Here are 5 acts you need to check out this weekend at Digital Dreams.

Digital Dreams 2015 is Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th. Grab tickets here, and enter our contest to win 2 VIP tickets here.

Porter Robinson

@porterrobinson

A chance meeting with Skrillex in 2011 led to North Carolina-based DJ and electro producer Porter Robinson signing with OWLSLA and releasing Spitfire, an EP of bass-heavy, glitchy complextro. Robinson has since ventured off into more serene waters, releasing Worlds, a record of emotional, melody-driven dance music. Porter Robinson bridges the gap between car commercial EDM and introspective chillectro, which always makes for an engaging festival set.

Saturday, June 27th: Bacardi Untameable Stage, 8:30PM.

Alvin Risk

@AlvinRisk

Vocalist and producer Alvin Risk has earned co-signs from some of dance music’s biggest names, including Steve Aoki, Skrillex, and Kaskade, making him one of electronic music’s fastest rising new stars. His amped-up approach to progressive house has a melodic touch, with a distinct pop-sensibility shining through. Risk combs through diverse influences ranging from dubstep to moombahton, united by powerful vocal delivery and an immersive live visual element.

Sunday, June 28th: Bacardi Untameable Stage, 3:00PM.

@YELLOWCLAW

Yellow Claw is a DJ trio from Amsterdam, specializing in trap and hardstyle. The Mad Decent signees orchestrate deep drops and jagged synths, turning dancefloors into warzones. Expect high energy bangers, stage dives, and explosive build-ups from this Dutch ensemble.

Zomboy

@Zomboy_music

UK DJ/producer Josh Mellody, better known as Zomboy, is the new poster boy of English stadium dubstep. A monstrous name in electronic music, Zomboy takes cues from dubstep royalty like Rusko, Skrillex, and Reso, but he brings an animated aesthetic to the genre that’s uniquely his own. When Zomboy unleashes the bass, watch out—it’s a dancefloor epidemic.

Sunday, June 28th: Bacardi Untameable Stage, 5:10PM.

Adventure Club

@AdventureDub

Adventure Club are Canada’s electronic music heroes. Since forming in 2010, the Montreal duo have unleashed a stream of hard-hitting remixes and original anthems that intertwine addictive vocal melody with the chainsaw synths of dubstep. It shouldn’t surprise you that Christian Srigley and Leighton James used to be in a pop-punk band, because remixes of Brand New, Thrice, and Alexisonfire are staples in the pair’s early discography. If anyone can turn Digital Dreams into a full-force mosh pit, it’s Adventure Club.

Sunday, June 28th: Dreams Stage, 6:30PM.
