We here at Complex have championed Young Thug early and often for his lyrical abilities. He graced the cover of our June/July 2014 issue; this before singles like "Lifestyle" and "About the Money" took off and the rest of the country got to experience his eccentric style. Thugger also received an honorable mention as one of the best rappers of 2014, another indicator that his skills on the mic are undeniable.
If we're being completely honest, though, there are times when we don't know what the fuck the ATL rapper is saying, either because of his indiscernible flow, or because he raps something that doesn't sound like it could possibly be a lyric. "I'ma ride in that pussy like a stroller." WTF?
