This new study from Queen Mary and Imperial College London will probably upset some people's parents. According to a recently published study, hip-hop has changed the course of music more than other genres, including pop, and most notably The Beatles, ever did. The study states that The Beatles improved on formulas of music that already existed rather than creating something that was brand new.

"For the first time we can measure musical properties in recordings on a large scale," Matthias Mauch, lead author of the study, told The Guardian. The study generated the majority of their data through the use of Last.FM., and then broke down certain trends and the makeup of songs to understand the change over the years. While this is just one study, it might further prove that Migos are indeed better than The Beatles, and people just have to deal with that.
