Spotify is already the far and away leader in the music streaming game, but they took a major step forward today with the launch of their new video service. The company rolled out the new feature during a demo in New York City that included a presentation from the cast of the show Broad City. While showing off the different video playlists coming to the service, Spotify revealed that they've already partnered with Comedy Central, ESPN, BBC, E!, Slate, and more for exclusive video content.

In addition to the video service, Spotify also announced their new feature that will automatically pick music to the pace that you're running at while working out. Both the new features seem to be Spotify's answer to the upcoming rollout of Apple's relaunch of the Beats Music streaming service that is supposedly taking place next month. Once relaunched, Apple is thought to be an immediate competitor to Spotify for a variety of reasons, which includes Apple's longstanding and loyal consumer base.
