Sam Smith just announced that he is cancelling all of his tour dates for the foreseeable future because he needs to undergo surgery to repair damage done to his vocal chords. Smith first encountered issues when he had a vocal chord hemorrhage in Australia last month, which forced him to initially cancel dates in Japan and Manilla. Now doctors are telling Smith that for him to get back to 100%, he must undergo a microlaryngoscopy surgery, and thus the rest of the dates on the tour have been canceled.
