For those of you who love the creepier side of the bass music scene, Moody Good should be on your radar. His self-titled 2014 debut LP (which was jointly released on Skrillex's OWSLA and Chase & Status' MTA Records) hopped in and out of genres at will, all the while showcasing not only a beautiful ear for sound design, but his ability to create intriguing moments. It comes highly recommended, and could be a great listen after you dig into his new EP.

This Is The Investigation, which is the 50th release from OWSLA's NEST imprint, follows in the footsteps of Moody Good's previous work; dark, experimental, and engaging. There's a message thrown into the material, although the terrain is merky. Don't believe us? Check out the video for the title track, which takes a delightful music box melody and thrusts it into uncharted waters. It has a booming, resonant vibe underneath, and when all pieces collide into one head-nodding banger, it'll make all of the hairs on your body stand on end.

Not only is the title track the tip of the iceberg, but the entire EP (which you can check out below) is just the calm before the storm. Grab your raincoats.
