After teasing the song for weeks, Matt Champion is finally releasing "El Dorado" and its accompanying video. This time around the BROCKHAMPTON member has ditched rapping in favor of heavily distorted singing punctuated by falsetto cries. You get the feeling Champion's holding back until a brief burst of industrial synths comes in and out with his screams during the middle of the track. Much like his voice is enveloped by digital effects, his face is mostly concealed by darkness in the video.
The track was produced by Romil Hemnani and Albert Gordon, with video direction handled by Matt Champion, Franklin Mendez, and HKcovers.
