Honeymoon was initially revealed in January during an interview with Billboard. She confirmed nine songs were written for the album and specifically noted that on four songs "the production is perfect; I'm looking for a few more songs to tie everything together." On Instagram earlier this week, she responded to a fan’s comment about her with Honeymoon will be a “beautiful retro record” and that she already has a couple of videos done.
