Electronic music fans have to love collaborations like this. Monstercat is a behemoth, an imprint that prides itself on bringing the freshest sounds to the forefront. Kastle is a producer and labelhead–Symbols Recordings is his brainchild–that knows how to craft stellar grooves that are always a step ahead of the pack. Today, the LA-based producer's remix of "Build The Cities" by Karma Fields gets a release, giving us almost four minutes of pure future grooves.

Karma Fields' original is a meaty number, chock full of emotion with a hint of menace. It moves at a house pace, but the kicks have a heft to them, giving it more of an impact. Kastle must have seen this as an opportunity to infuse his deeper flavor on the track. The bassline gets more of a swing to it, with the lighter drums leaving room for some space-y atmospherics. The bleeps in the original seem to have given way for some more IDM textures; midway throughout the track, the percussion gets a bit more mechanical, taking us on a slight detour that really sends this one over the edge.

Truth be told, Kastle nailed this one perfectly. His remix joins new reworks from Project 46 and Rootkit, with four more remixes on the way. Dive in.
