Late last year Lil B and Frank Ocean hit the studio together, and now they're working together in a different capacity. Frank channeled his inner journalist and interviewed the Based God for his new magazine, Boys Don't Cry, set to release in July along with his unnamed album. Nabil confirmed the news on Twitter and said he shot the photos to accompany the interview.

Nabil has shot several music videos with Frank and has also worked with the likes of Kanye West, John Legend, Lana Del Rey, and more. But that doesn't mean his filmography couldn't become more based. He said he'd love to work with Lil B.

Frank choosing to interview Lil B follows a long line of Odd Future showing love to the Based God. Tyler, the Creator has shouted him out in songs and on Twitter, and Frank gave him a nod in a Tumblr preface to the open letter in which he announced he'd been in love with a man.

In a 2013 interview with Clash, Earl Sweatshirt said:

I fuck with Lil B because when he came out he just changed so much shit. I remember seeing his shit in 2009, before it was cool to like him. Before it was some niche thing like, “Yeah like I’m really into like shitty photos and the only rap music I listen to is Lil B.” And the nigga is very thorough. You can tell he really listens to rap music, just because of how all over the place his music is. Like, he has shit that sounds like fucking Hot Boys shit, he has shit that sounds like Dipset, he has shit that sounds like literally everything. And at the end of the day, that nigga can rap his ass off.

It was inevitable for Lil B to end up in Frank's magazine.
