Chris Brown was one of the many celebrities in Las Vegas over the weekend, but it looks like he might face some possible legal troubles in the process. According to TMZ, Las Vegas police have named Brown as a suspect for battery after he allegedly punched another man during a late night basketball game last night. Police responded to the scene of the fight but they didn't speak to Brown once they arrived.
ThisIs50 is reporting that the fight was between Brown and Jeremih after tempers flared during their basketball game and eventually escalated into a brawl. TMZ obtained footage, which you can view below, of Breezy and Jeremih playing against each other before the fight supposedly took place.
According to the report, Brown can now sign the citation for misdemeanor battery and face the charge in court, or try and work out the matter with the District Attorney, who could decide to still press charges. This news comes right on the heels of Brown settling another basketball fight case, where the accuser claimed Brown and his security attacked him on the court. We will continue to update this story as more details emerge.
UPDATE 5/5/15: A rep for Brown issued a statement to CNN on the alleged fight in Las Vegas during a basketball game. Read it in full below.
"Chris is currently in Las Vegas as he is performing at Drai's on May 5th and receiving a Key to the Strip that day as well. He has a suite at the hotel that has a basketball court and invited friends to come play. An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises. Chris was not in an altercation with this person."
UPDATE 5/5/15: TMZ is reporting that Brown is no longer wanted for battery after the victim who called police yesterday to report he was punched by the R&B star has requested to drop the case. No specific reason was given.
