Wen's Mix For Hyponik

Fans of instrumental grime and all-round electronic weirdness should be overjoyed to learn that Keysound's Wen has put together a mix for Hyponik ahead of his set at the Seeerious 4th Birthday. Here, we get another example of Wen's uncanny ability to balance the subtle details with huge, impactful sonic mallets. He gets extra bonus points for including a cut from the new Pinch & Mumdance EP with Riko Dan on the feature.

Skream's Mix For Fabric

Skream will be returning to Fabric in London on June 6, and to mark the occasion, he's put together this nifty little mix of pounding techno. Though it is, for all intents and purposes, a techno mix, Skream's creativity within the genre (and indeed any genre he's delved into) leaves him a lot of scope to incorporate acid, more industrial tones, and even the occasional electro flourish. Banging as always, Mr. Jones.

Gina Turner's 'Healthgoth' Mix For THUMP

A deep and dark mix from Gina Turner's set at SXSW festival this year. Chock full of gritty, late-night house and techno vibes, we're told the mix was all about "grainy atmospheres and bleeps bloopy sounds". Despite the overt gothic attitude, there's a playfulness to this mix that can't be overstated. It's hard to pinpoint exactly where this comes from, but the whimsical blends and inflections keep this mix interesting, invigorating, and super-fun. We dare you not to dance (or maybe head bang) to this.

Muff Deep's 'In Season' Mix For Grind London

Boy, is this one eclectic. Funk, soul, hip-hop, easy listening, reggae, house, R&B and disco are all somehow seamlessly blended. Impressively, Tartelet Records' Muff Deep manages to tie this all together as a cohesive whole that doesn't want for anything. In fact, the whole mix is one long highlight but it's Jeru The Damager's "The Bullshit" that steals the show, so to speak. Be warned though, because there is some colourful language.

Logan Sama's 'Sixty Minutes' Mix For BBC Radio 1Xtra (Week 24)

The latest episode of Logan Sama's highly-regarded Sixty Minutes series could well be his finest to date. A combination of one of the hottest months in grime releases and Sama's hawk-like ability to hunt down the very best tunes of the moment, make for one of the greatest vocal grime mixes we've heard in a long, long time.

Ryan Hemsworth 'Just Rap' Mix For Frank & Oak

The phrase "does exactly what it says on the tin" has never been more apt than it is here. You won't find any of Hemsworth's usual '90s nods to Limp Bizkit and the like. No, this is a pure, unadulterated jaunt through the latest and greatest cuts from the world of hip-hop. Tre Mission, Boogie and Gucci Mane are supplemented with some of the UK's finest: JME and K9, as more and more of our cousins from across the pond convert to the gritty ways of grime.

Tensnake's Mix For Solid Steel Radio

Sometimes, and this is often said, dance music defies words. Here, Tensnake implores us to empty or minds and submit fully to the deep, bassy rhythms. Do it. You won't be disappointed.

ItaloJohnson's Mix For Crack

It's OK, people: the weekend's here. So forget about that email you were supposed to send and that bill you haven't paid yet. None of that matters. Just listen to this luxurious and uplifting mix of timeless, "no frills" house music from "no bullshit" trio, ItaloJohnson.

William Arcane's 'Plastic Platform' Mix For The 405

If you've had a tough week at work, this mix is for you. William Arcane has imbued in this mix the same kind of well-wrought emotion and passion that makes his music so memorable. So sit back, turn it up loud and try to forget everything from the past five days. You'll feel so much better for it, trust us!
