Yelawolf has been putting a lot of effort into his upcoming album Love Story. With the April 21 release date just weeks away, Yela dropped another video from the LP called “American You.”
In the video, the Shady Records signee wanted to highlight his blue collar roots. It has beautiful landscape shots – green fields and desolate highways, for example – and spotlights some of the hardworking people in his community. Joining Yelawolf in the visuals is Blink-182's Travis Barker, who is seen playing drums in the back of a pickup truck.
“American You” along with “Till It's Gone” are included in the official tracklist he shared on Instagram two weeks ago. The only feature is Eminem on “Best Friend.” “The record Marshall is on—honest to God—as soon as I recorded it ... ‘Man, Marshall would sound great on this,” he explained to Complex at SXSW about collaborating with his longtime mentor. “When people hear the song, they’re going to fuckin’ bug out.”
