While in Baltimore covering the city's response to the death of Freddie Gray, we connected with Washington D.C.'s Wale. He spent his day speaking with high school students, asking them to remain positive and use their energy to uplift Baltimore in this time of trouble. We walked with him as he led a march of students from Baltimore's Digital Harbor High School through the streets, all the way to the steps of Baltimore City Hall. Following the demonstration, Wale spoke with us about why he felt like he needed to visit Baltimore and his thoughts on what steps need to be taken to move forward in the wake of this tragic injustice.
