Following an unrelenting rollout of incredible singles, Toronto’s own Jazz Cartier has finally unveiled his highly anticipated mixtape, Marauding In Paradise.

A project more than three years in the making, MIP is the culmination of the 21 year-old’s steady rise to prominence in Toronto, a city that’s hungry for another legitimate world class rap star. Amidst a sea of pretenders, Jazz Cartier has emerged as the most promising Canadian contender we’ve seen in half a decade.

Jazz is an ambidextrous rapper, able to straddle both classic, sample-driven hip-hop cuts like “Count On Me” (not included on MIP) and contemporary slappers like “New Religion.” Marauding In Paradise is simultaneously a testament to tireless work, and a vision realized.

You can stream Jazz Cartier’s Marauding In Paradise below via The Fader. Catch him performing in Toronto at The Garrison as part of Canadian Music Week on May 7th.
