On April 13, French producer Kayloo will drop his La Voie EP on Space Is The Place, and we've got the whole thing for you to listen to ahead of time. La Voie, his debut for the label, is a four-track collection of dubby techno with a twist. Despite the techno framework it adheres to, on the title track Kayloo uses piano samples and big, warm, low-end stabs to round out the track, giving it an undeniably soulful edge. Elsewhere, "Ring The Bells" features a much sterner rhythm more in-line with the cold, late night techno that keeps us moving into the small hours. And it gets harder from there with the other original, "Astrolab", taking techno to its robotic, brutalist roots, while Astrolith (his former teacher at Dubspot) reigns things back by flipping the title track into a dub-fuelled haze. Stream the whole set exclusively below.
