Nate Ruess has announced the release of his debut solo album, Grand Romantic, on June 16 via Fueled By Ramen. His project will feature the hit single, "Nothing Without Love," and today, we get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, directed by Anthony Mandler (fun., Rihanna, Taylor Swift). Ruess explains his inspiration behind the track (A song he wrote in his shower, and sang into his phone), songwriting, and the accompanying cinematic visuals, in the four minute clip.
Later this year, Ruess is set to be honored with the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s prestigious “Hal David Starlight Award." You can grab "Nothing Without Love" on iTunes now, and watch the full video below.
