Ne$$ and producer Baghdaddy, better known as hip hop duo Weekend Money, are back with some new music today. They're currently prepping a new 5-track EP to drop later this year that will be heavily influenced by their tour overseas and the music that's being made over the pond.  In Ness's words, "Like neon lights at night and shit, enter the void shit." Today, they drop "Painkiller," a track that finds Ne$$ in his own head, struggling with his demons.

"Pain Killer was written in dark, dark fucked up space literally and figuratively. Sometime last year I remember I was going through all kinda real shit and Bagh was going through his own dark life shit at same time, we up in Brickhaus trying to push through, make some music for the new project and this is what came out," Ne$$ told Complex over email. "I really don't be wanting to put all this TMI shit on record but writing these songs is my way of making sense of shit, getting these thoughts (voices) outta my head and self medicating to an extent. Basically it keeps me from spazzing. I haven't been to a therapist since I was a kid so like I said in our song 'Grace' from the Freddie Merkury project, 'This shit is therapy" and not on no cliche rapper shit, mental health is a struggle for a lot of us out here. If it wasn't for these raps I'd probably be in an asylum."

Stream "Painkiller" below and look out for new music from Weekend Money coming soon:
