Montreal is slowly but surely becoming a hotbed for hip-hop. With the help of producers like Kaytranada, and artists like The Posterz, the city's finally on the map for budding talent. Nigerian and Hatian, Quebec-raised rapper Wasiu is another one to look out for this year. Today, he drops a remix to "I Know," a track by RAW Records founders/artists Thomas White and Dear Lola. The original "I Know" was released in February via Thomas White and Dear Lola's collaborative (╯︵╰,) EP. Wasiu's take is all about the problems with falling in lust, and not love.

"This song is about the girl you save in your contacts as 'DO NOT ANSWER,'" Wasiu told Complex over email. "She's like a bad drug, she interferes with other aspects of your life and you become obsessive over her. You're not even in a relationship with her, but whenever she hits you up you fall for that lust again and put everything else on hold."

His yet-to-be-titled album drops later this spring, but for now stream the "I Know (Remix)" below.
