It feels like it was just yesterday that Vic Mensa was known for his rap-rock endeavors with Kids These Days. In 2015, the Save Money leader is set to grow from budding rapper to international superstar soon. After collaborating with Kanye West to perform the intro track “Wolves” off So Help Me God on Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary,  his profile has raised tremendously. Even with the newfound fame, he still considers Chicago very important to him.

This weekend, Mensa took the stage at Chop Shop in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood for an intimate crowd. With his Save Money crew by his side, he performed his newer cuts like “Down On My Luck” and “Drive Me Crazy.” The biggest surprise, though, was his rendition of N.E.R.D.’s “She Likes To Move” and  ‘Ye’s “Wolves” that both got big reactions. Pursuit Of Dopeness was in the building to capture some footage. Watch his N.E.R.D. cover above, and "Wolves" below.
