Earlier this week, T-Pain debuted his collaboration with The-Dream that will be featured on his upcoming mixtape, The Iron Way, which is due out later this week. Though T-Pain has kept most of the details about the project under wraps, it looks like he has some major surprises up his sleeve, and one of them appears to be an unheard Aaliyah feature.

While speaking with Vibe at SXSW, T-Pain revealed that the Aaliyah feature came into his possession when he did two songs for her posthumous album a few years back. He was allowed to keep for his own personal use, and will now feature it on his upcoming mixtape. "It's a slower song. It's not a ballad, but you know what I'm saying," T-Pain said of the song. "It's called 'Girlfriends,' and it's basically about you can't beat 'em, can't join 'em, you go do your thing."
