Snoop Dogg is set to executive produce a HBO series with Menace II Society director Allen Hughes. Vulture has reported that the unnamed series, which was announced during Snoop's SXSW panel, will take place in early 1980s Los Angeles. It will follow a family whose "seemingly idyllic life is turned upside down by the collision of their community and American politics," and Snoop described that the show will display the effect of Reaganomics on the inner city. There is no set premiere date for the show, but the talent behind it sounds very promising so far.
