"Caves", the first track to be heard from Sea Bed's upcoming Rosso EP, is a bold first move from the duo that comprises producer Jim Corbin and vocalist, Lizzie Massey. It's no surprise that Sea Bed came up during Brighton's burgeoning indie-pop scene (originally calling themselves Tiny Dragons), with their taught, slightly off-kilter take on late night club music and pop. Lizzie Massey's vocals have a distinctive jazzy feel to them, as if she's been plucked straight from a smoky bar in New Orleans and transported straight to Plastic People. The combination of such striking vocals and deep, sultry basslines is a devastatingly effective one, tying together the "late night feel" of each element perfectly. Listen to "Caves" below, and on April 6, grab Sea Bed's Rosso EP via DEPF Records.
