While the world waits on the release of Kendrick Lamar's new album, To Pimp a Butterfly, in a few weeks, Beats By Dre captured an exclusive behind the scenes look at the making of Jay Rock's "Pay For It" featuring Dot. In the video, Dot talks about drawing inspiration for his verse from Serena Williams, who is featured in a Beats commercial with the song, and how he takes all of the negatives from his life and turns it into something positive on the song.
The clip also features commentary from Jay Rock, as well as the song's producer, Sounwave, who talked about Rock's hunger and determination when it came to making this track. Kendrick's new album is set to drop on March 23, and is currently available for pre-order on iTunes here.
