Fabolous took it back to the 1990s with his last album The Young OG Project that was released on Christmas Day. The 37-year-old Brooklyn rapper decides to keep the same theme going on his new track “The B.A.S. Freestyle,” which finds him going over Dr. Dre’s “Bitches Ain’t Shit” off his debut The Chronic.

Together with shout outs from DJ Clue, he channels mixtape-era Loso with relentless bars. Clearly, he has plenty of ammunition left in his chamber, shooting ill rhymes about his competition and the younger generation of MCs in the game now.

“Straight off an iPhone—a text and you’re done/Don’t get caught up in my wordplay, a text is a gun.”

“Let’s get technical son, all you niggas foul/Out here singing ‘Try Me’ and sending niggas to trial.”

“I’m like Kobe after surgery/All you niggas know on that court, I’m the truth and these other niggas perjury.”
