Premiere: Bon Voyage Shares New Single, "Booshie"

Is there anything worse than a booshie girl?

Different Recordings, the label that brought us Felix Da Housecat, Tiga, Etienne De Crecy, Vitalic and more, has a new EP in the pipeline, this time from Shamon Cassette and his hip-house collective, Bon Voyage. Their latest single, "Booshie", is a twisted, sleazy take on hip-hop and deep house and sums up a distinct era in New York's musical history to a 'T'. If you're not in the know, "booshie" is New York slang for a precocious individual. Or, as Bon Voyage put it: "Where J-Lo proudly claimed to still be 'Jenny from the block', the Booshie girl thinks they should demolish the whole God-forsaken hell hole and build a Louis Vuitton."
