Grainge, who is joined with his artists Kanye West and Lana Del Rey on the cover, tops the list because of his groundbreaking and forward thinking approach to improving the music industry. He landed at number two last year, but since then UMG's market share grew to its second highest margin in years, powered by the success of their artists Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith. His extensive knowledge and excitement about music bodes well for the coming year as the company looks forward to new projects from West and Del Rey this year. The most suspicious omission from this year's list? Jay-Z and Beyoncè, who were number one last year.
