Katy Perry just finished up her career-spanning Super Bowl halftime performance and with some of the quickest costume changes we've ever seen, it's safe to say she did a pretty damn good job. Earlier today, she shared her excitement on Twitter by posting a throwback photo of her as a kid:

Today is for this girl. She had the dream, always believed in herself & her worth. Today she is the one smiling. pic.twitter.com/9jMh3hWubz

After a cameo from Lenny Kravitz during "I Kissed a Girl" but a Juicy J-less "Dark Horse," she brought out the legendary Missy Elliott who performed a medley of hits including "Get Ur Freak On, "Work It," and "Lose Control." Perry ended up finishing things off with "Firework" and floated above the audience on a star. Literally.

As usual, Twitter had a lot to say about Perry's outfit changes, most notably the fire flame emoji ensemble.

UPDATE 2/2/15: Missy not only killed her performance on stage last night, but she also did work on iTunes and Spotify. According to Mashable, following the Super Bowl performance, Missy had eight songs in the iTunes "Top 200" chart, and four albums in the "Top 200." On Spotify, Missy's streaming numbers went through the roof, with "Lose Control" streams increased by 1,396% alone.
