Riz MC, who just released an EP with Heems as Swetshop Boys, has just launched another collaborative project, this time with dubstep originator Distance under the moniker Halflife. The first track to be heard from the newly formed partnership is "Subtle", an introverted lament rich in sonic textures. The video for it, which you can watch above, is equally luscious, with its deep blue tint and rolling landscapes.
As the title suggests, it's a subtle affair that uses restraint for a heightened emotional impact. It's a great partnership that seems to have come out of nowhere so let's just hope there's plenty more where this came from. It's also worth noting: there's talk of an album drop later this year.
