Joey Bada$$ was arrested Friday night for allegedly punching a security guard during a stop on his Australian tour. The Pro Era rapper was headlining the Falls Festival near Byron Bay, and as he was about to go on stage a security guard stopped him to check his credentials. Police say Joey punched him in the face, breaking his nose. The security guard was also treated for other facial injuries at the scene before being taken to a local hospital.
After the show, Joey was arrested and spent the night in custody. After appearing in Lismore Local Court on Saturday, he was eventually granted bail. He's due back in court on March 19 on a charge of assault.
