It's hard to move into a new year without looking back at what went down in the year prior, so I make sure I run through the year that was for our special Year End Mix. For the 2014 edition, I had to include DJ Earl's "DRUGGED OUT," a tune from Moveltraxx's DMP6 compilation that we ended up premiering last January. Earl's back with the bass-loving imprint for "Bring Ya Click," the first glimpse of Moveltraxx's forthcoming Street Bangers Factory #01, a six-track compilation that features new material from EQ Why, Dudley Slang, and Gunjack, as well as remixes from MikeQ & Divoli S'Vere and BoeBoe.
On "Bring Ya Click," the TEKLIFE affiliate brings the heat on a moody footwork tip. The vocal he sampled has its chest poked out, daring the competition to bring their crew to get served. There's no happy, party vibes here; Earl's bringing sirens, scuffles, and sneers to the dancefloor... but you'll be nodding your head and moving those feet the entire time. There's a real why we recognize him as the future.
