User_145 literally has four followers on SoundCloud right now, and I'm one of them. And that's only because "Telling Me," the only track on the page, randomly landed in my inbox and I took the five minutes to check it out. The main reason I dig this is because it's got a dembow shuffle to it and nothing about it sounds like anything else in this realm. Like AT ALL. The creepy vocal contribution here sounds mad familiar on the voice but I'm having trouble placing it. Maybe that's part of the fun as there's really no info about this project listed whatsoever. Regardless, this freebie tune is definitely an interesting listen and it gives me a bit of hope that maybe not all is lost in the tropically-based world of midtempo electronic music. Lord knows sidechained Dutch synths, white noise, and air raid sirens have definitely more than worn out their welcome... that's for sure.
